Frequently Asked Questions

The shows are best viewed from the North Lawn of the Museum and Memorial. While the Tower will be wrapped in light, the full shows include projections on the North Wall and Great Frieze, plus accompanying music scores.

The North Lawn can be accessed by foot only. (see map)

The projections on the Tower will also be visible from most city vantage points north of the Museum and Memorial, though you will not necessarily see the projections on the North Wall and Great Frieze, nor will you be able to hear the accompanying music scores.

Limited free parking on the grounds will be available in the U-Shaped Drive, in the West Visitors Lot and along Kessler Road. (see map)

Due to anticipated crowds, we would encourage you to park along the KC Streetcar route and take the streetcar to the Union Station stop or the WW1 Museum & Memorial stop, then walk to the North Lawn.

Paid parking may be available at Union Station and other garages/lots in the area.

Step-free walking paths to the North Lawn are accessible from Kessler Road, from the U-Shaped Drive and from the WW1 Museum & Memorial streetcar stop. All walks are 5-10 minutes by foot and include some inclines. (see map)
